Samsung teases the Galaxy S IV with a dark and mysterious image
We are just two days away from the official unveiling of the next generation Galaxy S smartphone – tentatively called the Galaxy S IV – in New York. But it seems Samsung is having a hard time keeping the phone under wraps until then and has decided to give us a sneak peek.
There is not a whole lot to see here. All we have is a dark and mysterious image that shows one corner of the phone. You will notice that the phone looks quite similar to the Galaxy S III, as we have seen from some of the leaked images before, and curiously, lacks an earpiece.
The conclusion we can draw from this is that the Galaxy S IV indeed will look almost identical to the current Galaxy S III or that Samsung is messing with us by providing false information, lulling us into thinking that the new phone looks like the old one while they have something completely new to show at the event.
Considering the lengths that the company went through last year to keep the phone's design a secret, the second possibility does not seem all that implausible.
1 Day To Go :
Samsung continues building the Galaxy S IV hype with flashmob dancers on Times Square
You didn’t think that Samsung will stop teasing the Galaxy S IV before its announcement, right? Neither did we, and Samsung prove us all right by continuing the festivities on Times Square, this time the old school way — with dancer flashmobs.
Dressed in a classy fashion, the dancers wear elegant suits with the number 4 written on their backs, hinting at you-know-what. As if all the Times Square decorations, teaser videos and even the mystical Galaxy S IV teaser shot weren’t enough.
Don’t get me wrong, I love some great marketing regardless of the company behind it, but isn’t this just a little bit over the top?
Anyhow, let’s see what Samsung has in store for tomorrow and, of course, the big show that’s coming on March 14.
Confirmed: Samsung Galaxy S IV to use PowerVR SXG 544 graphics
Samsung unveiled the Exynos 5 Octa platform a while ago, but it didn't specify the graphics it used. With the Exynos 5 chipset (the one inside theNexus 10) Samsung used the ARM's Mali T604 GPU chips.
Today Imagination Technologies announced its PowerVR SGX 544 graphics has been used in the Samsung 5410 Octa chipset, which will be powering the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S IV.
The Power VR SGX 544 GPU is available in three-core (544MP3) and quad-core (544MP4) configurations and AnandTech believes the first of those will be ticking inside the Galaxy S IV. We'll know for sure in two days' time when the official announcement comes.
^_^ Expect The Best OUT_FORM from S IV , 14th MARCH 2013 <3
